A.B. Smith III Architecture was created by Alan B. Smith III in January of 2007. After obtaining his architectural degree from Mississippi State University, Mr. Smith has gathered over 35 years experience in the field, previously working with some of Alabama's most succesful and acclaimed architecture firms. Alan has designed projects for clients ranging from governmental contractors in Huntsville's Research Park, local school boards, and high-customization religious facilities to premium family residences, multi-family housing, financial institutions, and numerous commercial facilities. Mr. Smith currently holds registration in both Alabama and Tennessee.

Walter Hastings, Chief Draftsman, has worked alongside AB Smith since the firm's inception and has over 30 years experience designing and drafting complex projects spanning the institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. He has produced thousands of innovative designs and is widely regarded by engineering subcontractors as one of the most advanced project coordinators in the area.
